Chamber of Commerce Meeting

May 11, 2010

Meeting was called to order at 6:07 pm.

Present: Jimmy, Jeff, Cindee, Bobby, Rob, Pete and Gary

Absent: Carrie and Shane

Guests: Bob Beaulieu, Diane Morency

Our guests shared information regarding Tucumcari and Logan hosting the New Mexico Bass Nation Tournament. Jimmy, Jeff, Gary and Pete will represent the Logan Chamber at a later date for further discussion.

At our regular meeting, motion to accept minutes of the previous meeting was made by Jeff and seconded by Bobby: motion passed. No treasurer's report was given due to Carrie's absence.

Motion was made by Jeff and seconded by Bobby that two scholarships of $250.00 are awarded to Logan High School senior students Jessica Aguilara and Luke Blum, and a plague for Student Citizen of the Year be awarded to Luke Blum. Motion passed.

Plans and prizes for the Duck Hunt to be held on June 19 were discussed. The Chamber will give one Grand Prize of $500.00; Bobby Duggar will donate one free boat rental as second prize.

Kids Fishing Derby to be held on June 5 from 8-12.

Some discussion on 4 th of July fireworks, decided to budget for $6000.00. Gary made motion with second by Pete to ask the Lodgers Tax Board and the Village of Logan for assistance.

Motion to adjourn made by Bobby, seconded by Pete. Meeting adjoined at 7:30 pm.
