Unofficial Minutes for February 12, 2008

Meeting was called to order at 6:45PM. By President Liles Roll Call was taken.

Present were: Diane, Pete, Rob, Shane, Wanda, JB, Jeff, Jimmy, & Kim

Absent were:

Shane made the motion to accept the secretarys report, Jeff seconded, motion carried. Jeff made the motion to accept the treasurers report, Shane seconded, motion carried.

Thank you to all who came and had hamburgers & hot dogs with us.

We had many kids put in for the water logo contest. Pete made the motion to chose Chris Gurule's, Rob seconded, motion passed. Jeff asked if we could wait until he talked to the water company before paying Chris the $50 to see how many colors we can get on the logo.

Jimmy talked to the people about the sign. We owe them $50 for the sign coming into town. We will write them a letter telling them that the sign at ENMR is not up anymore.

We decided to have the same tickets as last year for 4th of July. We will also give the same prize amount- $5000, $2000, & $1000. JB will order the tickets. We need wood for the briskets to cook. We barely had enough last year. Shane said he would talk to some people. We need to find a place to store the wood also. JB made a motion we get 1200 lbs. of brisket this year and sell the left over briskets for $35 each, Diane seconded, motion carried.

Mike Ely & Pat Mitchussin spoke about the Fish Phone. Some disscussion about sponsoring. JB made a motion we sponsor for $150 a month for 5 years, Kim seconded, motion carried. Mike said he would get us a contract.

Still talking to the city about a mud bog. JB & Pete talked to a guy and he said he would be willing to come over and talk to us about putting one on. Decided the Casino Night would cost too much money and too much work. Rob & Wanda would like to research it more and see if they could come up with something reasonable. Kids Derby will be held on June 7th. The sponsor from last year is no longer sponsoring the kids derby so we will have to see if we could come up with other sponsorship. JB made the motion to go ahead and have the kids derby and get 100 t-shirts, Shane seconded, motion carried. Shane would be in charge of the casting event again this year. Subway would donate $50 and bring cookies. JB & Jeff & Pete will work on Iron Man, more info next meeting. We will pick a date for our Poker Run at next meeting.

JB asked for a donation of $100 for the Outdoors Sports Banquet being held this month. Jeff made a motion to give the First Baptist Church this donation, Pete seconded, motion carried.

JB made the motion to adjourn the meeting, Pete seconded, motion carried.
