Unofficial Minutes for August 14th, 2007

Meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM.

By President Liles Roll Call was taken.

Present were: Bucky Wanda, Jeff, Jimmy & Kathy

Absent were: JB, Diane, Sharon & Shane. Motion was made by Wanda and seconded by Jeff to Accept the Treasurer’s & the Secretary’s Report for July.

Jimmy said it was so great to have some money to work with again. A big pat on the back to the Directors who deserve it. There was discussion about rewarding ourselves with supper and 2 drinks like last time. We would go to the Annex and the Directors can bring one guest.. There will be a special meeting on the 28th of August, everyone show up at the meeting room to discuss and decide what our menu will be for the Banquet on Sept 22nd. If the guests just want to show up at the Annex at 6:30 or come to the meeting, either is ok. Wanda was to invite Deanne for a rundown on what kind of meat we could plan on. There will be a notice for each establishment who would cater to see if anyone would cater our meal.Wanda order cake for Bucky A motion was made for the Special Supper at the Annex to be paid for by the Chamber-Wanda bring the check book, by Kathy and seconded by Wanda, motion passed.

Diane is working on the post cards.

Jeff & Jimmy reported on the poker run- a great success for the first time out. Some changes need to be made, Jeff will get with Diane anfter they are completed. Jimmy JB & Jeff did a bang up job. A new date was discussed to have another one on Sept. 29th, Wanda made a motion and Kathy seconded, motion carried.

The Chamber Banquet Sept. 22nd, 07. It is to be casual dress.The tickets will be $10.00 Everyone attending should e ready to do their part! Kathy is writing a Mock Trial- will cast next week., Jeff & Jimmy will help cast. Kathy will need a budget, the setting will be here in Logan America. Wanda made a motion to give her $300.00 to buy decorations. Jeff seconded, motion passed. Kathy will check with the radio station in Tucumcari for the advertising. A phone poll will be taken when she finds out how much is needed. JB is to get the tickets printed- 250 of them . Bucky will take care of distribution again. Jimmy will personally take the tickets to our Tucumcari members to sell. He can handle it all by himself!

October 9th will be an open meeting, Diane will send out notice and put on our website. Wanda wanted to serve hamburger and hot dogs beans and chips, Bucky will be in charge of getting the food & drinks. Jeff will get the grill. Invite new potential members also

Christmas, Pete will bring by the suit and Kathy will get it to someone or to the cleaners so he can wear it again this year at our Santa Day.

The rest was tabled until Sept. meeting. Jeff made motion to adjourn, Kathy Seconded, motion carried.
